The course is intended to guide operators and supervisors to deliver best and safe practice for electrofusion welding techniques. The course provides a clear and concise understanding of electrofusion techniques from 20mm service pipes up to 710mm trunk Mains.
Aim and Objectives
The aim of this course is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to join electrofusion couplers in a ductile manner and to understand what creates brittle joints and service failures.
On completion of this course, individuals will be able to:
- Identify most relevant equipment, pipe and fittings
- Complete pre-checks on pipe and equipment
- Provide an understanding and demonstration of safe practice
- Understand and display industry best practice/techniques for electrofusion welding
- Inspect joints for quality assurance

This course is for 1 – 2 days.

Individuals will be assessed by:
- Written (multi choice)
- Oral
- Practical
Registration
Registration on EUSR is valid for 3 years from date of training.
