Guidance and Best Practice for Remote Training Delivery

Recent times in the contemporary workplace have resulted in a very different approach to work-related training. Face-to-face classroom-based training has now transitioned to practices which demand remote training delivery. In the context of remote working, remote learning has helped to reduce a potential backlog of training and limit some of the potential risks surrounding knowledge and skills fade.

The key strengths and benefits of remote learning include:

  • ongoing training when trainers or learners cannot attend a physical location
  • improved flexibility and efficiency of the training delivery
  • considerations for the health, safety and wellbeing of learners and trainers in line with contemporary demands
  • cost savings
  • improved management of collaboration towards the training programme
  • learners work at their own pace

Now more and more training is delivered in an e-Classroom using video conferencing, pioneering the growth of remote training delivery. Whilst there are many benefits to delivering training online, there are also some challenges, even for experienced Trainers.

EUSR has created a guide to support those responsible for the management, development and overseeing of training which is delivered remotely. The Guide below sets out our requirements should you deliver one of our schemes in an e-Classroom rather than face-to-face.

The Guidance and Best Practice for Remote Training Delivery Guide covers topics such as:
• Considerations when choosing your video conferencing software
• Communication with individuals prior to the training
• Hints and tips to create a positive learning environment
• Best Practice for delivering training remotely
