Combatting Fraud
At EUSR, we take fraud extremely seriously. We class fraud as being anything where information that is given to us to claim an EUSR registration is false.
Fraud is committed by individuals to suit their own purpose, or they are coerced into doing so by a third party; sometimes the fraud is committed by an EUSR Approved Trainer. Examples of fraud we have uncovered include:
- Knowingly using fake qualification certificates
- Altering genuine qualification certificates – e.g. changing name, changing dates, adding on units, changing unit titles
- Approved Trainers submitting applications for EUSR registration when no training or assessment has taken place
- Approved Trainers delivering assessments without invigilation
- Individuals using falsified documentation to prove identity
- Approved Trainers delivering training and assessment in much less time than permitted
We work closely with many third parties including CSCS, CITB, the Police, the Home Office, Awarding Bodies, LRQA, Gas safe Register….and many more.
Individuals who work without the appropriate knowledge and competence put their own lives in danger, and those of their colleagues and the public.
We always act on fraud. You can help keep us all safer by telling us when you come across fraud, or even just suspect fraud. We treat all information given to us in confidence, and we will always endeavour to protect an individual’s identity.
We’d rather know who you are, because then we can talk things through with you and gain more information – but if you need to let us know something anonymously, then that too is OK.
