NCO (Water) Trainee (Probationary)
Overview
Trainee (Probationary) registration is intended for individuals new to the water industry. It enables them to undergo training and work with experienced staff to build up the portfolio of evidence required for the Level 1 qualification.
A Trainee (Probationary) is expected to work towards and achieve the relevant NCO (Water) qualification at Level 1. In certain circumstances, it may be appropriate for a trainee to work directly towards a Level 2 qualification for Service/ Mains Layer or undertake an appropriate Apprenticeship for Service/Mains Layer.
- Completion of a Level 1 qualification will enable the individual to achieve registration as an NCO (Water) Assistant.
- Completion of a Level 2 qualification enables the individual to be registered as a skilled worker, NCO (Water) Service and/or Main Layer.
