Example EUSR Apprentice Card

The EUSR Apprentice virtual card is issued free of charge and is for individuals registered on one of the following recognised apprenticeships.

  • Water Network Operative
  • Gas Network Operative
  • Dual Fuel Smart Meter Installer
  • Power industry distribution cable jointer
  • Power industry substation fitter
  • Power industry overhead lines person
  • Power Network Craftsperson
  • Utilities Engineering Technician
  • Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (MOET)
  • Gas Network Craftsperson
  • Water Industry Network technician
  • Water Industry Process Technician
  • Drainage Network Operative
  • Groundworker
  • Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering
  • Modern Apprenticeship in Gas Engineering

The Apprentice card cannot be renewed. Cardholders are expected to complete their apprenticeship by the time the card expires and apply for a EUSR skilled worker card.

How to apply

You will need to submit evidence that you are registered for an apprenticeship and that you hold a valid EUSR registration for Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA) or evidence of passing the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test.

Applications for EUSR Registration

Registration applications can be made via our online shop or directly through our online registration system, QuartzWeb.

Online shop – applications will include completion of an online registration form, acceptance of specific terms and conditions.

QuartzWeb – EUSR approved Providers and EUSR Approved Trainers may make applications for registration directly through our online system.

CSCS Partner

Apprentice cards are a CSCS Alliance scheme which gives apprentices access to construction site for utilities work. For further details please consult the CSCS Partner page.
