What is the Network Construction Operations (Water) Assistant scheme?
An NCO (Water) Assistant registration is for individuals working in the gas industry who have completed a relevant Level 1 NCO (Water) qualification. An Assistant carries out Labourer activities on construction sites to support qualified Service or Main Layers.
- An Assistant can progress to Service Layer or Main Layer by completing a Level 2 NCO (Water) qualification.
Evidence Requirements
A colour photograph or colour scanned image of the individual’s original qualification certificate.
- Energy & Environment Awards Level 1 Certificate in Network Construction Operations (Water)
- City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Network Construction Operations (Water)
- CABWI Level 1 Certificate in Network Construction Operations (Water)
Pre-requisite Requirements
An individual being registered as an Assistant must hold EUSR registration for both National Water Hygiene and Safety, Health & Environmental Awareness (SHEA) Water as a pre-requisite.
Registration Period
Assistant registration on EUSR is for a period of 5 years and is renewable.
CSCS Card
Individuals will be issued a Green CSCS Assistant card with NCO (Water) Assistant on the reverse.
