Mains Commissioning Experienced Worker

About the Scheme

The EUSR Mains Commissioning scheme covers commissioning water network assets to ensure they are safe, operational, and compliant with water quality standards before entering or returning to service. It includes preparing systems, setting up safe working environments, and selecting and using appropriate equipment to undertake sampling, testing, cleansing, and disinfection activities.

The scheme is CSCS affiliated, and the EUSR registration carries the CSCS logo, allowing access to construction sites as an experienced worker.

Registration Details

• Registration on EUSR for Mains Commissioning is valid for three years and is non-renewable
• Individuals will be issued a Red CSCS Experienced Worker card with either Chlorination, Water Sampling, Pressure Testing, or a combination of these displayed on the reverse.

Registration requirements

Pre-requisite Requirements

All individuals must hold valid, in-date EUSR National Water Hygiene and SHEA Water registrations.

Evidence requirements

To be eligible for the Mains Commissioning Experienced Worker card, individuals should have a minimum of three years relevant industry experience in the role within the last five years.

Experience must be:

• Directly relevant to the job role named on the card, and
• Demonstrable against defined typical activities for that role

To evidence this, individuals must provide a signed employer letter on company headed paper verifying:

• Length of employment / engagement
• Role performed
• Confirmation that experience aligns to card role

Quality Assurance and Sampling

We sample registration applications and verify the evidence provided.
